- What you type into the planner is used to build your estimate and, if you tap the WhatsApp button, to start your conversation with us. We keep a copy so we can follow up and improve the service.
- We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site. Measurement is first-party only.
- Your plan is confirmed by the partner clinic, so we share it with the clinic when you ask us to proceed.
- You can ask us to delete anything we hold at any time: privacy@teethtrip.uk.
1. Who we are
Dental Trip Istanbul (teethtrip.uk) is a booking and coordination service that connects UK patients with independent partner dental clinics in Istanbul. We are not a dental practice and do not provide clinical advice. TAKKLAND LIMITED is the data controller for the information described here.
2. What we collect and why
- Your description of what you need (free text). Used to generate an instant treatment estimate. Because it usually describes your dental health, it is special-category (health) data; we process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to submit it. The text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to classify it into treatment types; Anthropic does not use it to train models.
- Your planning choices — departure city, preferred date and time, the estimate produced. Used to time your trip and pre-fill your WhatsApp message.
- A first-party usage record — which steps of the planner were completed, the estimate shown, whether a WhatsApp button was tapped, your country (from your connection), browser type, and a random per-visit identifier that is not stored on your device. Used to understand where people drop off and how our advertising performs. No cookies are set for this.
- Your WhatsApp conversation — once you message us, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the chat under its own terms. We use what you tell us to coordinate your treatment and travel.
3. Who we share it with
- The partner clinic you're being treated at — your plan, X-rays you send us, and your travel dates — so the dentist can confirm your treatment and price. Clinics are independent controllers of your clinical record.
- Service providers that run this site: Cloudflare (hosting, security), Anthropic (AI classification), Google (fonts, maps). Each processes data only on our instructions.
- We never sell your information and never share it with advertisers.
4. International transfers
Our partner clinics are in Türkiye and some providers process data in the USA. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the provider's UK-approved safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
Planner records are kept for up to 13 months, then deleted automatically. Conversation and booking records are kept for as long as needed to coordinate your care and meet our legal obligations (normally no more than 6 years for financial records), then deleted.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@teethtrip.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Children
The planner is for adults (18+). If you're arranging treatment for a child, please message us directly rather than entering their details in the planner.
8. Changes
We'll update this page when anything material changes and show the date at the top.
